Lady Joy Ulasi was born on 31st December, 1955 and began her primary education in Cross River State, attending the reputable, Holy Trinity Primary School Calabar, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate in 1966.
Her secondary school education saw her traverse through four secondary institutions across Anambra and Enugu States (then Old Anambra State). She started her secondary school at Anglican Girls Grammar School, Onitsha in 1967 and completed it at Queens Secondary School, Enugu in 1974 where she ‘bagged’ her West African School Certificate. She thereafter proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she obtained a Barchelor of Science Degree in 1978. She enrolled again at University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1988 for her Post Graduate Diploma in Education, which she obtained in flying colors in 1989.
She undertook a Management Course at Buckingham Academy of Management & Technology in 2005 and also obtained a diploma in Computer Appreciation and Application Software from AfriHub Nigeria in 2011.
She is happily married to Chief Sir, Obi Ulasi (SAN) with five (5) children.
She has a tremendous resume of work experience having virtually gone through all the spheres and strata of the education sector over an active career that spanned over thirty-three (33) years before her appointment as the Chairman of PPSSC, HQ in 2012.
