OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE COMMISSION



MISSION STATEMENT:
To see to the effective co-ordination of the activities of the Post Primary Schools Services Commission.

STRUCTURE:
The Office of the Secretary has two Units as follows:-
I. Minutes production Unit
II. Secretary's Office

FUNCTION OF THE MINUTES PRODUCTION UNIT:

I. Taking of the Minutes of the Commission's (Regular) Meeting and Management Meeting consisting of the Zonal Directors, Principals and Six Department Directors of the PPSSC Headquarters, and three heads of autonomous unit.
II. Writing out the Decision of the Commission and producing them on "Green Papers".
III. To present Personal files of staff who make requests from the commission as DIRECTED by the Secretary.
IV. To present Briefs of staff who make requests from the Commission as DIRECTED by the Secretary.
V. To present the Decisions of Junior Staff Committee and Senior Staff Committee as DIRECTED by the Secretary for the Commission's consideration.
VI. To carry out any other legitimate duties as DIRECTED by the Secretary.

FUNCTION OF THE SECRETARY'S OFFICE:

I. DRAFTING/Writing letters as DIRECTED by the Secretary.
II. Treating every mail as DIRECTED by the Secretary.
III. Taking minutes of meeting chaired by the Secretary.
IV. Overseeing and supervising the work of the staff of the Secretary's office as well as minute's production unit.
V. Clerking of the minute of Senior Staff Committee.
VI. Placing of order for stationery and other requirements from the store for the Secretary's office
VII. Carrying out any other duty given by the secretary.
